An act of disgust and shame....

After a long time I thought of pouring my heart into my blog. I couldn't refrain myself from writing after coming across Delhi gang rape news. It is disgusting, sickening and sad .Every time I think about it I am unable to understand how a human could behave like this. Every punishment that comes to my mind is not sufficient for this brutal act. My heart goes to the girl who has suffered all this and the very thought of her mother makes me cry. The day she would have born her parents would have started planning for her future without knowing that the girl would have to face this evil world. Nothing can be more painful than seeing your 23 year young girl in such a pain.
Every time this kind of incident happens we start blaming the police .I am not sure that as a citizen are we sensitive enough to deal with this situation if this was the case then the  girl would not  have been lying in such a condition for more that 1 hour in so called "posh area" of Delhi. Most of the Delhi police personnel are busy providing security to the VVIPs of the country. There is no security for the people of so called democratic country.
I am not sure that I should be happy to be a part of a free country for which so many precious lives were sacrificed or I should be sad that it was not worth it.
I don't know why these kinds of incidents have become day to day affair. According to data 635 rape cases has been registered in Delhi in year 2012 .Some would have gone unregistered .Above all none of the accused have been punished . I think the time has come .It is, now or never. I guess our judiciary system against such act is not strict. People are not afraid of consequences as there is nothing much that happens to the accused. Even if it happens, it is too late and too little to change anything in the society. There should be a severe punishment for the accused that person should shiver thinking about the punishment before committing such heinous act.
The latest news says that 4 out of 6 accused have been arrested and one says hang me .He should not be just hanged he should die every minute he lives. Nothing can be more horrific than this. How could they do such thing to another human that too an innocent young girl. Her only fault was that she was a girl and she took a wrong bus. How a human droop to such an extent .It is so sad.
I don't think only rape but any act that is an offence to a women's dignity should be taken very seriously and there should be a serious punishment.
I am not sure if some steps will be taken in this regard because every issue in India is a like water drops on hot pan which will die after sometime. Only solution I see for every problem in this country is forming a committee, talk for some days and then forget about it.
All said and done, Right now the pain that the girl is going through is unimaginable .Any punishment given to those animals will not be able to heal the physical and mental trauma that she is going through and she will have to go from here on. I just pray to god to give strength to her and her parent to fight against this situation. God bless her and her family.
I just await a death sentence for all the 6 accused.

Why "It's Diffrent" ?

There has been a lot of stir over the new Aamir Khan show “Satyamev jayate”. The show has been highly appreciated .Some people have an opinion that there are other shows also of same nature, so, may be brand Aamir has made the impact. I don’t agree with this. Undoubtedly, Aamir brand has its own benefit but in my opinion it could be more.

1) The concept and the format of the show was suspense till the time its first episode was aired.

2) The show timings has been perfectly chosen .It has been an intelligent idea to revive the old and dying slot which during our childhood was filled with Doordarshan(Ramayana&Mahabharata).

3) The show is not criminal centric it is victim centric where in if you see the criminals are not even shown on the screen. Their faces are blurred.

4) The topics are very common topics that have been going around us since ages but we are too busy to acknowledge them. The topics being aired till date are on female foeticide, child abuse, Dowry system

5) The episodes has been able to strike the right notes with the audience .Aamir seems to be emotionally involved and not superficially hosting the show which can be attributed to his ability to connect with all kind of people.

6) The show has been well researched .The effort that has been gone into this can be seen from the facts and figures being presented.

7) If you notice, Aamir, without fail, will translate English dialect to Hindi , even if, it is a single word from the guests,so that the point doesn’t get lost and it reaches all his audience.

8) To reach audience from every part of country it has been dubbed and is being simulcast on doordarshan in different languages like Marathi, Bengali, Tamil, Malayalam and Telugu,It is the first show in history of Indian television to be aired simultaneously on private channel network (Star) and national broadcaster Doordarshan.

9) Finally, It is not just a show for TRP, it is a show to change the mindset. Jab dil pe lagegi tab hi baat banegi …..

Bitter Truth

One of the usual morning I was on my way to office .During office hours, if,  I deviate even for few seconds from my regular timings, I am bound to get stuck in a traffic jam. It was one of these days where in I was stuck for an indefinite amount of time. While going to office I board an auto from my place .Since it has been quite long travelling in these autos, I have a silent contract with these guys where in they already know my destination and I already know the fare. Since both autowallah and me were the victim of the situation where in we were stuck at a position that neither we could go back nor move forward. To ease the situation he started conversing with me .

AW: Madam, you are late today .Is it a problem ?

Me: No. Once in a while its ok.

AW: How does your boss tarck your time of entry and exit.you have a register.

Me:No.Our company dosen’t follow this so stricyly.

AW:Don’t fool me I know you have swipe cards

Me: :-P

AW:what if you are everyday late. No one will say anything

Me: Every day it could be a problem. My manager might ask .

AW: If your manager comes every day late

Me: I guess, it is ok for him

AW: After a pause…...Madam that’s why you should have studied harder and should have joined at manager position. Why didn’t you study well. If you would have studied well then no one would have asked you for anything.

Me: :-O (Truth is bitter)

Let Bygones be Bygones……..

The other day I was talking to one of my friend .During our conversation, I got to know that her parents are not well these days. In spite of being persuaded so many times they are not ready to leave their native and come to stay with her because their entire life has been spent at their native place .She was suffering with a guilt that she was not able to take care of them when they most needed it. Her problem is she has her husband& two kids to take care off. After hearing all this, I was thinking, how much we are attached to our past that we don’t realize that we are ruining our present and future. Life can be so easy if we could live each day as it comes .Like my friends parents were not ready to understand that every one’s life would have been so easy if they could have stayed with their daughter .Most of us are actually so attached to our past that we forget about our future. Somehow, most of us have a habit of thinking about our past and worrying over it. We try to evaluate the things based on past. I have also gone through this kind of situation where in if things would have worked as we thought in past then I would not have been in a situation where I am today. But my question is what the point of this thought is because we cannot change the past and also when the things were happening in past, today was future which could not be predicted. So, whatever has happened is the best that could have happened when the decisions were made knowing the uncertainties. Life should be all about creating a good future by taking control of your present. There is no point carrying the burden of past and living the present .The carrying of extra baggage doesn’t fetch any extra rewards. Instead, it’s a burden. If you think carefully the suffering in past was reason why we were not a happy and again the same suffering ruins our present and obviously we will not have a greater future. So are you ready to let the past be in past ? At this point of time I could only think of Bacchan Uncle’s (Harivansh Rai Bachhan) poem

Jeevan Main Ek Sitara Tha
Maana Vah Behad Pyara Tha
Vah Doob Gaya To Doob Gaya
Ambar Kay Aangan Ko Dekho
Kitne Iskay Taare Toote
Kitne Iskay Pyare Choote
Jo Choot Gaye Fir Kahan Mile
Par Bolo Toote Taaron Par
Kab Ambar Shok Manata Hai
Jo Beet Gayi So Baat Gayi

Jeevan Main Vah Tha Ek Kusum
They Us Par Nitya Nichavar Tum
Vah Sookh Gaya TO Sookh Gaya
Madhuvan Ki Chaati Ko Dekho
Sookhi Kitni Iski Kaliyan
Murjhaayi Kitni ballriyan
Jo Murjhayi Woh Fir Kahan Khili
Par Bolo Sookhe Phoolon Par
Kab Madhuban Shor Machata hai
Jo Beet Gayi So Bat Gayi

jeevan Main Madhu Ka Pyala Tha
Tumnay Tan Man De Daala Tha
Wah Toot Gaya To Toot Gaya
Madiralya Kay Aangan Ko Dekho
Kitne Pyale Hil Jaate Hain
Gir Mitti Main Mil Jaate Hain
Jo Girte Hain Kab Uthte Hain
Par Bolo Toote Pyalo Par
Kab Madiralaya Pachtata Hai
Jo Beet Gayi So Baat Gayi

Mridu Mitti Kay Hain Bane Hue
Madhu Ghoot Phoota Hi Kartay Hain
Laghu Jeevan Lekar Aaye Hain
Pyale Toota Hi Karte Hain
Fir Bhi Madiralaya Kay Andar
Madhu Kay Ghat Hai Madhu Pyale Hain
Jo Madakta Kay Maare Hain
Vey Madhu Loota Hi Kartay Hain
Va Kachcha Peene Wala Hai
Jiski Mamta Ghat Pyalon Par
Jo Sachchey Madhu Sey Jala Hua
Kab Rota Hai Chillata Hai
Jo Beet Gayi So Baat Gayi

How to win a game called Life...

Life never comes easy for anyone .Inevitable part is, everyone has their own battle to fight. What is the difference between people who win in life and people who loose? Probably, the technique of fight. The effort is worth counting if it is put in right direction. The essential part is, “the right direction”. For finding the right direction, what one needs is just not belief but faith. People are often mistaken that these two things are same .Belief is an opinion which can vary from person to person .One may agree with my belief or disagree so the truth of belief is relative. Faith is a level above it, where in, even if we don’t have any proof our mind agrees with heart and is forced to agree the belief is real and undoubtedly true. So having faith and then executing the plan will always lead us to right direction. Life is a long journey, you will always be placed in a situation where in you will start evaluating the “what if” conditions. But, life is not science .Life is beyond science. Life is about faith, faith which requires no proof .I can bet, all of you would have one day or other would have come across miracles in your life .This miracles is nothing but the winning of heart over mind. If your heart believes it will happen. If it is not happening there is still some doubt in your mind. So, all my friends, Life though tough is beautiful. What you need to make it worth living is faith. Have faith and keep chanting Aaal izz welllllllll !!!
